Past of the Present

 “Renewed Commitment in defying odds to transcend heights of excellence and solidarity.” Foundation Day is a designated day on which celebrations mark the founding of an organisation or institution. It is an opportunity for an organistaion to come together and celebrate the proud history with the community,employees and supporters. In which March 25, 1902 marks Ilocos Sur National High School Foundation Day. Students, Teachers and Non teaching Organization gathers and prepare astonishing events for the annual High School Day, but this year, Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated its 121 Foundation Day.

The Foundation day begins with thanksgiving mass at 8:00 a.m. at the ISNHS Centennial gymnasium.  It is where a blessed Words of God was thought to each and everyone attended the mass. It blessed the day for everyone to be happy, safe, and guided by God. Afterwards, Teacher’s Choir performed the Doxology, Pambansang Awit, Region Hymn, Ilocos Sur Hymn, Vigan Hymn, and lastly, ISNHS hymn. It was an amazing performances by the Teachers as they hit high and low notes in harmonization. Their Harmony, and synchronization made the performance crystal clear and amazing to hear all throughout the performances ended. 

Speeches from the School’s Principal, Mrs. Editha Bagcal and Schools Division Superintendent, Ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy. In which both of them particularly talked about the annually celebrated ISNHS Foundation Day. Maxwell’s performance comes next, energetic hiphop dance was watched and performed by the hiphop dance champion. Our guest speaker, Miss Charmaine Antiporda had her speech delivery and Inspirational Talk from Dr. Vida Margarette Andal-Bueno. Awarding of plaques of recognition speakers, then intermission number by the Teacher’s Choir and again, Awarding for the outstanding Teachers, Employees, and Retires. Words of Gratitude from Mr, Rommel Rabo and a song Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat closed the Morning Program. 

In the Afternoon, Prayer was held by the Head Teacher VI of the ESP Department, Mr. Joseph Q. Obrero, which indicates the start of the Afternoon Program. Welcome Address comes next, delivered by the Assistants Principal II JHS, Mr. Reynorio T. Villoria. The most awaited performances by the students comes next after the welcoming Welcome address. A performance by the selected 5 students from all sections, A Calosthenics dance Style, Galaw Pilipinas. Festival Dances celebrating different festivals around the world was danced gracefully by the grade 9 students from different 6 sections of ISNHS. Traditional games was played by teachers, and students in which sack race and tag of war was one of it. It was filled with fun and laughter as every teacher from different Department joined and compete every game provided by the SSG Organization. Booths was also opened as Well as exhibition for students to visit during extra hours. The program of the Foundation day closed by the Word of gratitude of the MAPEH Department Head Teacher VI, Mrs Judeliza Refuerzo. 

Ilocos Sur National High School Foundation Day is a day filled with Happiness, Fun and Laughter. It also commemorates the past of the school, and allows students to Perform different type of dances that can collaborate and Make a beautiful piece of art. “ Celebrate each day of life. Let each day be a Festival of joy.”
